Hey all! How about a backless, burgundy bodysuit to kick off the season?
So rumor has it that it’s Fall here in California – so we hear from other parts of the country, where the air is chilling and leaves are turning. What a lot of people don’t realize about the SF Bay Area is that our warmest months are September and October.
So here we are in the Wild West, clinging to summer when everyone else is digging into chunky sweaters and tall boots. What are we supposed to do when the season dictates one thing but the weather says another?
One technique is to use color to pay your respects to the season, while maintaining the shape and coverage of your ‘fit light enough for the balmy weather. Hence the magic of this bodysuit. I confess that I love everything about it – the neckline, the side boob (erg, sort of), the backless-ness, that Bordeaux wine color. It’s a brand that I LOVE, T by Alexander Wang, which is Alex’s dispersion line (is it OK that I called him Alex? I’ll let you know if I get any complaints). I stalked Yoox.com for sales (pair it with the Ibotta app and you can get some good deals) and got this sucker at a generous discount. Just a PSA if anyone likes designer-y pieces AND not pulling money out of your 401(k).

AND if you saw this post you’ll recognize my beloved Popeye pants. Mother Mary and Joseph, I love these pants.
To encourage long lines and movement, as well as to add a layer in classic SF style, I popped on this shawl/scarf/wrap sweater. This is ALSO a Yoox find (I swear this isn’t sponsored, it’s just a good little nugget to know) and is from MM6, Maison Margiela’s dispersion line.

I was feeling the warm, autumn vibes, so I went with coral makeup to enhance the pink undertones of the burgundy bodysuit.

Thoughts? Would pairing a bodysuit with jeans work for where you live right now?
Love
Stig.
