OOTD: Super Casual ‘cuz I’m at a Freaking Dog Park

san francisco bay dog park view, casual clothes

If I could, I’d wear heels and a silk ballgown everywhere. I even wear heels to the grocery store. One of my friends aptly described my style as “J Lo Goes to Church,” and she’s 100% not wrong. BTW, what a missed opportunity for a blog title! Damn!

But some days you’re at the freaking dog park and it would be truly ridiculous to wear heels (90’s people, do you remember that time Mariah Carey wore her heels on the Stairmaster in MTV’s Cribs? Yeah, I’m trying to avoid that look).

And to be perfectly honest, this outfit is actually nicer that what I often wear to the dog park – sweats and a fleece jacket. Because anyone who’s set foot in a dog park knows that drool is a very real and present danger, and I genuinely do not care that I look like a slob. I mean, people’s dogs are pooping on the grass and humping each other and all sorts of mayhem is happening, so yeah, that puts things in perspective.

If I’m going to make a day of it, though, I try and gussy it up a bit. It’s nice to feel put together, especially if I’m with a friend or bouncing around from errand to errand.

So here we have it – a real casual dog park outfit, no frills, and even less midriff coverage.

cropped sweater, high waist jeans

I wasn’t going to post this pic, but just look at Sici flying on the left! I’ve never seen a faster dog, seriously.

So, tragic news. After these photos . . .  I washed the sweater . . . and now it has a hot pink stain on the arm. Help! How do I get it out?

Also, I am in the business of collecting ideas for off-duty, casual clothing – so let me know what your go-tos are and I’ll check them out!

love

Stig.
