There’s a reason why the wrap dress has been a closet staple ever since Diane von Furstenberg introduced the style in the 70s. It’s easy to wear, you can pile on the accessories, and you can wear it almost anywhere.

Truth be told, I wore this outfit last month and hadn’t had a chance to post it yet, what with all the fashion month news going on. I wore it to a meeting in SF, and it was the first time I had met a lot of the people there, so wasn’t sure how to dress. I went for this wrap dress my mom and I got on sale at Anthropologie, and I’m so glad I did – it was a fun choice, but also appropriate for a workweek meeting.

I suggest wearing your wrap dress with heels, especially if it’s below the knee. It creates a long line and emphasizes the movement of the fabric as you walk.
The print on this thing allows for a wide range of accessories. I doubled down on the green, laying hoop pendants with green ear climbers and carrying this green circle bag.

That being said, you could also go with a simple, solid wrap dress and really go nuts with the toppings – layer on necklaces, bracelets, earrings, whatever makes you happy.

That’s it’s for today! Still in Detroit, and coming home tomorrow. Stay tuned for a post or two about the trip!
