off the shoulder prabal gurung bodycon dress for sophistated night in the city

Happy Monday! This last weekend was a whirlwind. My work with Thai New Year SF and Sunday Streets culminated in our street festival (including the fashion show I worked on), so I took Friday to take care of loose ends, hence no post. But today I’m back with a short but sweet outfit post. I promise that more in-depth content WILL resume after my brain and body recover from not sleeping this weekend!

Off the shoulder Prabal Gurung bodycon dress, modest enough for work, but still sizzling in a sexy, sophisticated way.

Last Wednesday, I was invited by my friend Yuwei to speak at a meetup on fashion and sustainability in downtown San Francisco. Yuwei herself is a sustainable entrepreneur with her line SLFBSquared (self-be-squared) – more on her work in another post!

I met so many amazing people who love fashion and art and want to make the world better because of it, not in spite of it. Fashion is, after all, a major polluter – so we have our work cut out for us, don’t we?

As you know, a HUGE way fashion is sustainable for me both financially and environmentally is using rental services like Rent the Runway, where this dress and bag are from.

I had the opportunity to speak alongside Ana Guerreiro, founder of design studio Andana Designs and Alzuleycha Interior Design. Total coincidence that she happens to be Portuguese, but how fun to have a fellow Luso girl with me up there?

In any case, all of that was just to say, “here’s this sa-weeeeet dress I wore last Wednesday.” Recognize anything from our IGTV video from last week? Haha!

The photos were taken on my iPhone at dusk, so pardon the graininess. Sometimes it just shakes out that way.

You like?
