My friend Ashley and I have a standing dinner date every month. It’s one of those little things on my calendar that I look forward to, that balances out my tendency to hole up and write without seeing, you know, humans, all day.

Last week, Ash and I went to The Hog’s Apothecary on 40th in Oakland and had an AMAZING light dinner. The second they said that there was a special squid salad, my Madeiran blood took over and ordered it immediately. Ashley, a person of impeccable taste, also ordered the squid special and man was it good.

While this isn’t an upscale restaurant, it isn’t cheap either. However, because we ordered light bites, our bill came down to a staggering $15 per person, haha!! Expensive dining? Not today, Satan!

Do you remember how HOT it was last week? Thankfully, things started to cool on Wednesday evening, which meant I got to wear this fab sweater dress!
I wanted to create layers of coral and layers of texture with this look, and I absolutely love how it turned out!

Apologies for the quality of the photos! Sometimes the best I can do is a tripod in my living room, haha!!

The dress was essentially a very fancy, socially-acceptable bathrobe. So, yes. I really did wear this thing mostly unbuttoned, exposing most of my brassiere and a good portion of Thigh. The purpose was two-fold:
1.) Add a sultry something-something; and
2.) Evade Swamp Ass Season. If you listen to Pop Fashion, you’ll know what I mean. Sometimes a breeze needs an invitation to wick the moisture from your Unmentionables.

I am developing an obsession for Salar bags. This one is a DELIGHTFUL, perfectly-sized crossbody in a wonderfully bright, popsicle orange.
What do you think? Not bad for a Wednesday, no?
SO much love,
Stig
Outfit Nitty Gritty:
If you like the dress/cardigan/bathrobe, it’s sold out everywhere – BUT you can rent it here, like I did 🙂
