Hello there! I’ve had this fun and spicy look of the day in my back pocket for awhile now, and wanted to share it with you in between the heavier couture reviews. Who doesn’t love a little neon bodycon action?
Back in June, the consignment giant ThredUp opened a retail location smack dab in the middle of downtown Oakland. The store, along with a group of local bloggers called Bay Area Bloggers, hosted a get-together to celebrate their grand opening.
I did a great job of posting this on my IG stories, but a terrible job of actually taking photos of the event. I did manage to get this photo, courtesy of Bay Area Bloggers:

I have to say, after blogging for a relatively short time, it was so amazing to walk into an event and actually know people. And even better – these people are fun, kind, introspective, and ambitious. Just our kind of crowd, no?
The OOTD
So what does one wear to an event full of fashion bloggers? The same thing you’d wear any day: whatever the hell makes you feel YOU.

And I was feeling pretty zesty.

So I went with this neon bodycon in orange, heavy pearl drop earrings, and a studded handbag. Fun, right? The idea was to balance out the sportiness of the dress with pieces that were just as quirky, but more refined. The dress in this case was the star of the show, and I loved the way it turned out.

I’m working on my Resting B*tch Face. On a scale from Barney to Vivian Lee, how’d I do?

I also brought a longer denim jacket in case I wanted more coverage. It is, after all, quite a tight dress, and sometimes one doesn’t want one’s booty on display.
It turns out that I was perfectly fine having my booty on display, no jacket needed. Go figure.
Until Friday,
Love,
Stig
