It has been BALMY here in the Bay Area! So on Friday, when I had plans to meet a friend for a fitting in the City (more on that in another post, I promise), light-and-airy was the wardrobe mode of the day.

I love a green and blue color palette, so this dress – complete with a print reminiscent of Portuguese tiles, OMG – combined with blue sandals, a light turquoise bag, and blue and green drop earrings (even I couldn’t believe my luck) made my heart sing. Long enough sentence for you? Haha, my search engine optimization program is going to love that (it hates my run-on sentences. Pooey).

I was very tempted to add a belt with this dress, since it was quite loose around the waist. But o-m-gggggg it was so warm out and I wanted to give myself a little bit of breathing (or sweating) room.

Before I left the house, I snapped a SUPER shameless selfie with those magnificent earrings and foisted it onto my Instagram, with the intention of taking more outfit pics on the go.
Now, I with I could have taken some dreamy snaps as I walked through Hayes Valley on Friday afternoon. It was a gorgeous, clear, warm day, and everyone was out on the street, skipping work it seemed. It almost felt like Lisbon, with all that hustle and bustle in and out of coffee shops and little alleyways. I was on that part of Linden that is essentially a pedestrian-only zone and I haunted the Blue Bottle stand for a bit after my meeting.

Is there anything more “San Francisco” than paying $6 for a chia pudding, $4 for a blondie brownie, and $5 for an almond milk latte (two shots, please), and willingly standing on the sidewalk as flip-flopped millennials in suits scoot by on their scooter-shares?

Alas, I admit that I didn’t take any photos while I was out because frankly I was concerned that someone could run off with my camera and tripod and I and my clunky Jacquemus’s would not be up to the task of chasing down a thief on one of those scooters (*shakes fist to the sky*).

So I took the photos when I got home, sweaty-haired and makeup-smeared as I was from the heat of the day. But hey, it got the job done. And now you can use the power of your imagination to visualize the glory of Hayes on Friday any which way you choose without a photo dictating your creativity. How’s that?
Have a great Monday – and hey, thank you for coming to the blog. I appreciate YOU!
love,
Stig.
