They’re HERE!
The outfit photos of the look that had such potential for tackiness that my sister double dared me to 1. Wear it in public; 2. Make it look good; 3. Post on the blog. For the Internet to see. Challenge accepted, executed, and now, delivered.
For a recap of allllll the border-line inappropriate goofiness that led us to this point, check out this post where everything is laid bare. Figuratively speaking. And not so figuratively speaking.
Here was the original outfit, found in the depths of the interwebs:

There is quite literally not a lot to work with here, at least not if you’re planning on wearing this out on the street. To a rave, or a club, or as a backup dancer, it would make TOTAL sense (and more power to ya!).
But in a family-focused neighborhood in a Michigan suburb? More of a challenge. And a challenge that Julianne and I were more than willing to do – even at the expense of our (ok, my) ego.
YOU be the judge – did we pull it off?

To be honest, this look actually does encompass a ton of trends from 2019 – neon, transparency, chunky sneakers, and geometric accessories. I’m just not convinced that it was a good idea to do ALL of them at once, haha!!

By the end of this, I was a sweaty mess. With the Michigan heat and humidity, you can imagine the number that a PVC outfit does on a person.

Amazingly, we only had one creep make a comment during this shoot! I’d call that a WIN. Even if he did drive a shady looking van.

What’s your verdict? Can I return to my sister’s neighborhood with my head held high?
Also, I have more behind-the-scenes footage! Let me know if you want me to post it!
love,
Stig
