Welcome back to the land of the workweek! Haha! How was your Labor Day weekend? We spent ours assembling a new dresser from Ikea. I see it as a marriage-enhancing exercise – and I’m happy to report that we assembled the whole thing as a team, with no bickering. A. Maze. Ing.
Some friends of ours are moving across the pond and they had their official bon voyage get-together last Thursday at Southern Pacific Brewing in the Mission. What a delightful brewery, I must say! Lovely indoor-outdoor spaces with an airy and industrial vibe. That sounds contradictory, but trust me, it works. I didn’t have anything to drink, but I had the Southwest Salad (w/ chicken, extra hot sauce, thankssss) and it was delightful.

Tan and White Minidress Deets
We managed to get some outfit photos on the way there – I saw this amazing cactus on the border of SOMA and the Mission and made a pit stop. Isn’t it just amazing?
Keeping with the streak of neutrals I’ve been having lately – it’s just so easy, isn’t it? – I shimmied myself into this tan and white minidress, cinched it with a belt. and climbed into my heels.

I’m finding that putting together looks quickly is a skill that gets so much easier with practice. For one thing, your eye becomes sharper and can pair items more easily, and for another, you literally get used to stepping out in your Sunday best every day of the week. No matter what you’re wearing, clothes look best on people who love what they’re wearing, PERIOD.

Good thing I loved this outfit.

I should note though, that I definitely received help with picking out my belt. Thanks to those of you that gave me feedback on my IG stories! What a luxurious problem to have, no? ”OMG guys, I’m having such a hard time, help meeeeeee!” Hahaha. Thank you for humoring me.

Stay tuned, folks – Fashion Month starts THIS WEEK, which means lots of updates on my Insta stories and longer posts here on the blog. If you see a show or a piece you want to know more about, let me know! I’d be more than happy to dive deeper and see what’s going on there. With this type of fashion, there is ALWAYS more than meets the eye, I promise.
love,
Stig.
