Every once in a while I like to do something “cultured” (a piece of me is dizzy from eye-rolling) to balance out the time I spend eating peanut M&M’s and watching reruns of Murder, She Wrote. After all, living in the Bay Area means there is no excuse to ever be bored. There are so many great resources, so much talent, and so much world class art that not even Jessica Fletcher can keep me from venturing out and exploring once in a while.

So I called my friend Cory for a day in the City, and we spent Monday wandering around MOMA (the biggest museum of its kind in the WORLD, did you know??? I didn’t) and having tea at Samovar across the street. It’s lovely having a friend who has an art background as she does, since they have a way of adding context to whatever your seeing that really enhances the whole experience.

I had this floral mini dress from Reformation that fit like a damn glove, albeit on the shorter side, even for me at 5’1″. I suspect that Reformation was not designing for people with a Booty. In any case, a pair of tights and a low heel created balance and compensated for the short hemline. To curb the “sweetness” of the florals I threw on a distressed denim jacket with just the right amount of bite.

Huge thanks to Cory for taking these shots!

I’m hoping to hit up the Tissot exhibit over at the Legion of Honor next – it’s called “Fashion and Faith,” which is right up my alley. I’ll report back!
Happy weekend,
love,
Stig.
