Stying the gem that is the jogger, along with some of my current favorites!
It took me awhile to come around to the jogger. But here I am, using it in all its’ glory.
I’m interested in how our minds understand trends and what’s attractive. Fifteen years ago, I would have looked at these pants and gagged. They simply don’t hug you the way low-rise flares do, I would have said. It’s ugly. It’s just … bad.
We are impressionable. It’s just the human way. We have amazingly flexible brains that are also susceptible to the power of suggestion. You think a flare is cute? Let’s make it a bootcut. Now let’s make it a skinny cut. Now mom jeans. Now … t
I embrace how trends change now, try not to judge them so much. It makes getting dressed so much more FUN. That annoying judgy voice eventually fades. It’s lovely.
So I have embraced the jogger. Not just in it’s loungy form, although if you’ve followed me on Instagram and seen my Stories, there have been quite a few #ootds featuring some pretty basic joggers.
Not these. These are fancy joggers. They have detail, they have a leather tie, they are … still sweatpants at the end of the day. Just dressed up a bit. And I never say no to that.
So take your joggers out at night. Throw on some heels and a top that make you happy. Or flats. Or whatever makes your heart sing. These joggers will give your booty some bounce just from the pure comfort of wearing cotton on your buns.
And get yourself some fancy joggers. A little sequin, or velvet, or color. Then go out and have some fun. You can even eat a burrito at the end of the night and not have to unbutton your jeans – drawstring technology, kids.
