Welcome to SF Fashion Week outfit roundup, part II! This post will cover three different events – the Fashion Technology Pop-Up, the Emerging Designer Showcase, and the Pret-a-Porter Show at Saks.
Also, I apologize for the poor photo quality! We’re still getting the hang of taking photos on the run. It’s a work in progress!
Below each day, I’ve included outfit links. As usual, when I could find the exact item, I linked it. Otherwise, I hunted for something similar 🙂
Thursday: Fash-Tech Pop-Up
This was a super intimate event in SOMA where entrepreneurs at the intersection between fashion and technology showcased their projects. The evening kicked off with presentations on everything from innovative jewelry manufacturing to fashion web design, e-paper watches, and 3D printing of garments. It was so fun to talk to people about things they are passionate about, especially when they have technical expertise. So many interesting projects out there! For a full list of participants, go here.
Ok, so FULL confession: I got there late and on an empty stomach, so I made a beeline to the food table. It turns out the cheese plate is a great place to meet people. Who doesn’t like a good cheese plate? Haha.
This event was on a weeknight and more casual, so I went with a bodysuit, wool mini, and mules in red tones for a laid back Fall vibe. The bodysuit and skirt are from Aritzia, which I had been to YEARS ago when it was a tiny store in Portland. Now it’s a much “bigger deal” store and they are a great place for fashion forward basics! Also, they have petite-friendly sizing. I’ll be adding them to my resources page.

Friday: Emerging Designer Showcase
This was SO MUCH fun! New designers are always interesting to watch, since they’re still finding their voice and trying out different aesthetics and techniques. Some of the designers’ showcases were super conceptual, others more classic couture-type collections, but all were interesting.
But first, what I wore – for some reason, my face turned out rather bloated. Maybe the cheese plate from the night before? Anyhow, I went with a black and gold theme with high-waisted, wide-leg trousers, a crochet crop top, the necklace, and a gold clutch. My hair was back in a low ponytail, with layer

Saturday: Pret-a-Porter – Best of Saks Fifth Avenue
Imagine if a cocktail party, a runway show, and a fancy department store had a melange, and you’d have the finale of SF Fashion Week. For this one, I brought my old friend Jared along and we had a BLAST. We both enjoy fashion, champagne, and having a good laugh, so he made the perfect date!
Metallic heels, a sparkly, sheer crop top, and joggers? Sounds like a totally appropriate outfit to wear in public to me! Haha, truth be told, this may be the most daring outfit I’ve worn in public. Yikes.
Jared has the smize down. I, however . . . look like I’m auditioning for the mermaid version of the WWE. Also, can we acknowledge how quickly my tan faded this week? Hahaha!
A quick note of caution: a friend wanted to warn you all that once you see my face in this picture, you can’t unsee it. You’ve been advised.

They also had a banging DJ. Save the Last Dance tracks AND Despacito? Count us IN! There was lots of gyrating.
The runway show was lovely – how could it not be, when you have rainbow Burberry coming atcha? Here are some highlights from my Insta Stories:
