Do you ever have those days or weeks when the pace just won’t let up? That’s definitely been me this week. My sister helps me with my scheduling every week, and I remember on Sunday she just looked at me and said, “yeah, dude this week you’re screwed.” HA!
If you haven’t met her or know our dynamic, that would probably sound super rude. But my family has this way of acknowledging that a situation is difficult while making you feel like you’re in it together, all with this tone of, “but isn’t life hilarious?”
I love being busy (I made a typo and inserted a “t” between the “s” and the “y” in “busy” and now am crying because I’m laughing so hard. What a delusion that would be, omg). I love being busy, so yesterday was an awesome day. I helped a friend with styling for the better part of the day (heeyyyyy Cory) then raced back home, slapped on some makeup and eyelashes (Rodrigo really thought I had lost my mind), threw him the camera and made him take a few pictures. It was 5:30 in Albany and I had to be a cocktail party in the Tenderloin at . . . 5:30. Oopsie daisy. So these photos are not the best we’ve done. But hey, better than nothing!
Look of the Night
Anyways, here’s my look from last night. I was honestly not sure about the top, so I put it to my Stories on IG and people said I should go for it, even if I do look like Barbie and Merlin had a baby. I mean, puffy sleeves and metallic stripes and astrological jewelry are all trends that I love, and I layered them on thick here, for better or worse.

Of course, it being a cocktail party, it was no big deal that I rolled in a bit late (or very late, thank you SF traffic). I may have mentioned that I’m helping put together a street festival in the Tenderloin in April, yes? This event was put on by the Larkin Street Association, which is a group of merchants on, you guessed it, Larkin Street. They do events to provide a community for the business owners, and if I must say so, they do a great job. Since I’ve been working with businesses on Larkin the past few weeks, I wanted to pop in and say hello.

Goal achieved – and I met some really interesting business owners, artists, and designers. You really never know what kind of amazing people you’re going to meet if you just start showing up places. Even if you are two hours late.
Anyhoo, I’m writing this on a short break I have between various commitments today – this morning, I ran over to Rent the Runway to swap out clothes and get an outfit for tonight, which will be eventually posted on the blog. Then today is the first day of Community Fashion Week in San Francisco, so tonight I get to go to a fun event at a club (as in social club, I believe, oh how fancy) called The Modernist. I’ll let you know how it goes!
I hope you’re having a GREAT week.
love
Stig.
