Lots of photos for you today!
It’s late Monday night here in the Bay Area, and the fog has rolled in in typical San Francisco fashion. It’s cool and misty on my street, with the streetlights glowing in a way that reminds me, somewhat absurdly, of a Sherlock Holmes novel. Like at any moment, a British guy with a pipe is going to burst out of the fog wearing a deerhunter hat, running after some criminal.

So, clearly these outfit photos weren’t taken today. I wore this dress at my friend Emily’s bachelorette weekend in Palm Springs, and like in my last outfit post, there’s just no getting around just how ORANGE this dress is. Isn’t it magnificent?

I had Rodrigo take some post hoc outfit pics after I got back, and we went over to Blake Garden in Kensington and spent the afternoon together. It ended up being a lovely, impromptu date. The weather was marvelous, and I was fresh with memories of Emily’s bachelorette and all the warmth, liveliness, and curious minds of her best girlfriends. I love it when you carry people’s good vibes with you – it’s such an unexpected gift!

Earrings: Oscar de la Renta | Dress: Nicholas | Belt: Missoni | Bag: Coach | Heels: Zara
The outfit: this wonderfully saturated, poppy-orange maxi dress, my chunky black and white belt, minimalist heels, gold (poppy) earrings, and a giant, practical bag. When I *actually* wore this outfit, we never left the house, so in reality I never got so far as putting my shoes on. There was wine to drink and cheese to eat, so why bother?

In any case, the warmth of these photos is so emblematic of that weekend. And the poppy color is SO California, no? And right now, poppies are in FULL bloom – which makes for a dramatic contrast against all that fog that rolled in this evening.

That’s all for today! I hope you’re starting off your week feeling strong, focused, and grateful.
love,
Stig
