One of my college friends, Megan, celebrated her birthday on the fourth so I drove up to Sacramento to have dinner with her and friends! We managed to snap some photos of this tiger print getup at my vanity before the 2 hour drive – so here we go.

This outfit was a bit of a mashup, with a touch of tiger print, retro, sportiness, slinkyness (a real word, IMO), and coziness. Sorry for all the “nesses,” but sometimes there’s no way around redundancy.

It’s the type of outfit you throw together last minute, knowing full well that you may regret it in the morning, but enjoying it nonetheless.

The tiger print dress on it’s own would be a great for a summer night out, but since it’s Fall (despite my tantrums, why don’t those work?) I cozied it up with tights and a gigantic colorblock sweater. White boots tied the white elements of the dress and sweater together, so I could at least pretend this whole thing was planned.

I’m developing a pattern where I’ll take an item that might be just a tad too formal or too sexy and throwing a giant sweater over it. It’s like adding oatmeal to a chocolate chip cookie. You tell yourself it’s wholesome, but we know there’s a few sticks of butter hiding in there.

I hope you’re feeling the weekend spirit and that you get some R&R in the next few days!
love,
Stig
