Y’all, I just got off of an Instagram Live sesh with my friend Safiya Jihan – you know, the riotously beautiful, so-kind-hearted-she-glows badass who also happens to design the BEST TROUSERS ever?

She and her team put together SUCH a fun series of IG Lives called “The Secret’s Out” and it’s all about building each other up, talking about joy, career, and the things that have helped us along the way. We also get into some fun fashion chat – like when is the right time to wear leather pants?
First in the lineup is a fun and informative interview with former biochemist, current blogger and designer Aquila Farrell! You’ll hear all about Aquila’s approach to breaking into a new business, as well as her biochemist’s take on when’s the right time to take the (future) coronavirus vaccine.
Yours truly comes right after Aquila – and there may be a bit of Brazilian Funk shortly thereafter. Safiya and I talk about how I came to blog, the power of having the right people at your side, emerging designers to look out for, and so much more!
