I present to you the decadence that is this outfit of the night: buttery leather shorts and a fun bodysuit with big, soft hair, slathers of body glow, and heels that won’t quit!
This was the outfit I chose for the Instagram Live with my friend Safiya, who also happened to design the bodysuit. We had such a fun time on our Live – you can see the whole thing here!
The leather shorts also made an appearance on my Fall 2020 Wishlist – I got very lucky and found them on sale a few months ago on Gilt, and am excited to finally be able to wear them. They’re the type of item that elevates practically anything without feeling too fancy. They are shorts, after all.
I have half a mind to take these to the tailor and have them hemmed up a bit to rid them of some of their bulk (they’re rolled up in these photos). In looking at these photos, the proportion feels a bit off – thoughts on hemming them up an inch? I think it’d make all the difference!
