One of my pet-peeves is people jumping the gun with the seasons – back to school ads running in July, Halloween candy in September, Christmas music before Thanksgiving, and, most relevant to today, saying that it’s fall when it is Still. Summer.
And here I find myself, posting a sweater outfit when we have two more weeks of summer to go. Ugh.
We had a community picnic last weekend, and in my mind I thought a simple, puffy-sleeved sweater would be a nice break from all the high-gloss fashion week outfits I’ve been looking at.
But I forgot that it was still. Summer.
This resulted in a very sweaty sweater. It was a good 80 degrees this weekend. Yikes.
Still, there was something wholesome about a simple sweater outfit, and it was indeed a little refresher. This is an outfit I would have worn in college – simple, with giant earrings to jazz it up, nothing high fashion or daring about it.
And honestly, I needed something easy. I’ve been long on to-do lists and very, very short on energy (more on that another time).
